Okay, so most of the website changes are up, but we still have a few things to fix. We're getting our photos uploaded, and that may take awhile. Also, our video links are almost done, but not quite, so please bear with us. Finally, the form on the contact us page is having some issues, but it should be working in the next few days. Until then, feel free to email or call for info.

Getting geared up for our annual Mardi Gras show at Willie's Sports Bar in Hampton on March 12th. Should be a lot of fun as always. come on out for beads and .....

Thanks for your patience as we make our changes. See you on the road!

It's been a long time...

Wow! I guess it's been a really long time between posts. Sorry about that. It's been a really crazy year for us here at Listen Up and it only gets crazier. We're in the process of changing a lot of things. The website is going to be changing drastically in the next few weeks. If you check out the website, please be patient as not all of the info is correct. The best thing to do, is email or call and I can give you the answers to all of your questions. (listenupproductions@q.com or 515-965-2839)

The equipment is always changing and getting bigger and better. Our lighting is the most noticeable change. We have done away with almost all of our halogen lighting effects, and are almost 100% LED. That means less power and more effects.

We are now, and have been for a while, 100% digital when it comes to our music library. Our library is quite extensive, and keeps growing everyday.

Basically, I just want to assure everyone, that Listen Up is alive and well, and looking to be the entertainment at your event. Be patient with us as we make changes to the site and the gear. It's all done to give you a better "Listen Up Experience!" Take care, and we'll see you on the road!

Ventura, Hampton-Dumont, and McMahill/Marler Wedding

Thanks to all the Ventura High students, parents, and staff that helped us to have a great Homecoming 2009 Dance on Saturday night! Three hours and lots of students on the dance floor made for a very successful night.

Coming up this week is the Hampton-Dumont Homecoming dance on Friday night, and the McMahill/Marler Wedding on Saturday. I am really pumped about both events, but Friday in particular, because H-D is my high school Alma Mater. Well, I graduated from Dumont, but I did play football for H-D, so it's like going home again. We've done the homecoming dance there for a number of years now, and each year is AWESOME! I can't wait, it should be a great evening!

Saturday's wedding will also be a lot of fun, and it's close to home, so it should be an easy drive home afterwards. From the looks of their planner, it should be a night filled with great music, lots of fun, and wonderful memories.

That's it for now, I'll update again later. Keep checking back for changes, and we'll see you on the road!

September 15, 2009

So, Saturday night's show is at Ventura High School for their homecoming. We plan on unveiling some new toys at this show. Should be lots of fun and end with a "bang." I'm really excited at the possibilities for Listen Up in the future. We are in the process of totally redesigning the lighting rig. This is particularly fun for me as a lighting designer. I'm always looking to make the show bigger and better. Booked some more shows this past week for 2010, and it looks like 2010 is going to be a very busy year. Busy is good because it means more expansion and more systems. YAY! I hope everybody likes the look of the new site. We still haven't finished tweaking everything, so please be patient. I want to make the site very easy to navigate and also look fun, fresh, and professional. Let us know what we can do to keep making it better, and who knows, we might just use your ideas.

As always, give us a shout (phone or email) if you want information on bookings, upcoming shows, or just to comment on a show you saw us do in the past. We welcome your input. Thanks again, and we'll see you on the road!
